he has 5 sets of wheels for this car?

Really wouldn't surprise me. Have you seen how many spare cars he has?

Scott Wrote:Dust caps?

Well that was too easy, if you look at the blu dice at the back you can see the valve cap sticking out and if you look at middle white one you can jsut make out the hole i have drilled.

Lots of dice, as im sure people will nick them and need replacements, they are cheap enough.

Scott Wrote:Nice one on the cage, bit annoying if it's not tall enough though. Could you put some spacers in to raise it up but using longer bolts? Not sure if there are any safety implications with that though...

The cage is the maximum it can be with the hardtop on unless it was to be made to sit further forward which then there would be the chance oh head butting the side bars Sad

Should sit like this

Re: No hairdressing equipment left in this vehicle overnight - Fozzy - 09-03-2012

Valve caps was my first thought, but as Phil said - there's far too many. Was joking about the bar to some extent, i'm not sure there's one in existence high enough to protect you two! It's fine, if she's going to roll just dive for Emma's lap. Wink

Re: No hairdressing equipment left in this vehicle overnight - 4WayDiablo - 11-03-2012

Re: No hairdressing equipment left in this vehicle overnight - Fozzy - 11-03-2012

Re: No hairdressing equipment left in this vehicle overnight - mooey65 - 12-03-2012

Re: No hairdressing equipment left in this vehicle overnight - mark_airey - 12-03-2012

Re: No hairdressing equipment left in this vehicle overnight - Fozzy - 12-03-2012

Yes Curt priorities definitely to get it lowered on the new wheels by the time i put it back on the road in the summer.

Thanks Mooey, you will like it so much more once its all together and not just a pile of expensive things in the corner of my living room.

Mark - That video was up on the mx5nutz forum a while ago that guy is absolutely nuts. Only in america... If it was practical to have it that low i would, but i don't think it would last 5minutes.

Re: No hairdressing equipment left in this vehicle overnight - ginge191 - 12-03-2012

lol that video is what it feels like trying to get my car up before getting a low entry jack

Re: No hairdressing equipment left in this vehicle overnight - Poodle - 12-03-2012

FLOL, mong never heard of air-ride?! Reckon you'll have them sorted in time for camping meet?

Poodle Wrote:FLOL, mong never heard of air-ride?! Reckon you'll have them sorted in time for camping meet?

but "bags are for groceries".....................

static drop or GTFO IMO Big Grin got to give the guy credit, it isn't going to get any lower than that is it!

Fozzy, its gotta be as low as it possibly can be while still being able to use it though! Tongue

Re: No hairdressing equipment left in this vehicle overnight - Scott - 12-03-2012

Part of the awesome is knowing that the car is like that 24/7.

Depending when the camping is i hope to have it done, no doubt over easter when i should be working on my final project at uni i will be out fitting everything.

The aim is to lower it so the tyres fit the arch's and if i can get away with is maybe a tiny bit of tuck.

No hairdressing equipment left in this vehicle overnight - Jonny b - 12-03-2012

f*ck me what is the point having your car that low!! Is he going to have 2 guys walking alongside it all the time, first little bump he hits at speed and it's good bye sump lol

I keep thinking the same... I think we may be old Jonny...

No hairdressing equipment left in this vehicle overnight - Jonny b - 13-03-2012

Old!! Nah not me Liam me old mucker , cars like this are meant to be hammered down b roads I doubt you could hammer that anywhere ha ha it's just an expensive ornament

No hairdressing equipment left in this vehicle overnight - THE_Liam - 13-03-2012

I know what you mean. I'm after an MX5/Eunos once they get cheap after the summer, and I've driven loads of them. Anything other than better dampers just spoils the handling really, their just so well sorted as standard. Same with the MR2, my mate had a mk2 that he lowered about 50mm, it just ended up really tail happy and unstable...
