RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - ozonehostile - 02-02-2013 if people could be bothered to travel to herefordshire, theres a place called saxon motorsport with a proper dyno and tuning services, best thing is they are a diesel specialist, they run a team of diesel bmw touring cars. might get in touch with them to see if they could do a club discount for a future rr day RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - David - 02-02-2013 Yeah they can have alook at my head of shite then RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - Just Sean - 02-02-2013 That would be best bet I think mate. I'd travel to that one! RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - sam - 02-02-2013 Ill keep an eye out chaps and ozone thatll be a good shout RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - ozonehostile - 02-02-2013 http://www.saxon-motorsport.co.uk/rollingroad.html this is there site, they say £60 per hour for tuning, but that is just one car, so il enquire about how much a club shootout would be including some tuning services for people who want it. ive been down there a couple of times and their very professional about it RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - Mrs puglove - 02-02-2013 The thing that was a bit off was some got more runs than others as well when it should of been 4 each really RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - ozonehostile - 02-02-2013 Yeah that was a bit weird. Not very happy that they took my car straight off the rollers and turned it off, I always let It Cool down for a few minutes after a run, especially after one like that. Not very proffesional atall RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - puglove - 02-02-2013 I also know of a RR in chipping sodbury thats supposed to be pretty good sam RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - sam - 02-02-2013 Ill have a look guys, ray west is deffinetly a no no RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - Ricky - 02-02-2013 (02-02-2013, 09:39 PM)ozonehostile Wrote: Yeah that was a bit weird. Cutting all airflow to a car that's just been maxed out is not good, especially for the XUD's which can't cope with overheating. Mine was over 90 when I got in it. RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - ozonehostile - 02-02-2013 Yeah I certainly gave mine a nice gentle drive home. Il get it up on stands 2moz and check all my hoses as I now have a small oil leak :/ Pleased with the fact that it didn't pop anything off though, the engine rebuild seems to have been a success haha RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - Ricky - 02-02-2013 Just glad mine survived the ordeal haha RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - ozonehostile - 02-02-2013 Yeah thats a bonus. My rev counter also stopped working earlier today, it works until the engine warms up then just cuts out. Reckon I've got a dodgy sensor? thats my reckoning since the down pipe passes so close to it RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - MIKE-FORD - 02-02-2013 mans had email back from long life to ring them monday to arrange sortin somethin out for me so will keep all posted if anythin does RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - Just Sean - 03-02-2013 A refund and then listen to what everyone ehas said about speaking to mrwhippy/tb/pro Steve or someone on the forum! Here's the vid: And here's the print-out: I was disappointed with the result; I thought I was running over 160bhp. Then on the way home I heard a pop and a whoosh, and lost all turbo - the boost pipe had come off! I dropped into Kris B's and he sorted it promptly. Now firmly reconnected and tested with a drive to Scotland and back. Hoping the 149bhp reading was just due to the boost pipe leaking (before coming off) during the rolling road run. So I'm looking for another rolling road session as soon as possible. Either Hereford, Chipping Sodbury, or Slough are great. |
