RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - sam - 31-01-2013 Not the only one haha dont want it to blow up RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - Ricky - 31-01-2013 I'm trying to tune it to keep the EGT's down, it's quite slow now RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - sam - 31-01-2013 That sucks bet its well boggy now RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - Ricky - 31-01-2013 Hmm, sort of, it's definatly smoke free, I just need to adjust the LDA pin to get a perfect compromise, my pin is very harsh so too much preload and it's rubbish to drive and causes a lot of lag low down. RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - ozonehostile - 31-01-2013 (31-01-2013, 07:13 PM)sam Wrote: Not the only one haha dont want it to blow up power runs arnt too harsh on the car, its just a slow build up then max throttle for a few seconds, just like overtaking really. its dyno tuning which is very hard on an engine, long amounts of time spent near or on the limiter to record information, thats what can potentually cause damage, but just a few power runs is no different from a 3rd or 4th gear overtaking spree RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - Ricky - 31-01-2013 Hmm, I've never used the whole of 4th, and I'm guessing on the dyno they do? As long as they don't floor it at very low revs, this turbo spools so early it will slip my paddle clutch, so I dread to think what it will do to the engine! RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - MIKE-FORD - 31-01-2013 anyone with any good maps on there laptop for hdi please bring and will chuck some ££ as feel the one i got from longlife isnt as good as i was expected RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - Jonny81191 - 31-01-2013 ECU number? RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - ozonehostile - 31-01-2013 i think power readings are done by "sweep" testing, its when they build upto a certain rpm then build upto a specified end rpm in a continuous sweep. 3rd gear usually i think which is good as we all know how good the 3rd gear pull is with a tuned xud RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - MIKE-FORD - 31-01-2013 575 are the last numbers mate (i think thats rite) south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - Frosty - 31-01-2013 Anyone else going from Exeter/Taunton area? RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - Dum-Dum - 31-01-2013 Is there any chance someone can bring down a lap top with a good battery. My current stage 1 isn't quite the full fat version (hence the figures below) and if i can get a full fat one in time I hope i can upload it on the day. Meed to make sure shes alright on the lesser map first though. Its done in whichever gear is closest to a 1:1 ratio which for 95% of cars including ours is 4th. running in 3rd will give you an over optomistic figure. RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - MIKE-FORD - 31-01-2013 so basically mans with maps on laptops bring them and make some ££ unless kind hearted RE: south west rr meet at ray west! 2nd feb - ozonehostile - 31-01-2013 (31-01-2013, 11:45 PM)Dum-Dum Wrote: Nah they pull off (as you would driving and keeping the revs low) then just keep it pinned till it hits the limiter or the power starts dropping.
