Revs Hanging. - Dum-Dum - 05-01-2012

Hi all the revs on my 2.0 16v cabby are hanging quite badly when i let off the throttle. If i rev the car to 2500rpm it takes about 5 seconds to return to idle.

Its been doing this since i got it, hot or cold and ive just swapped to a GTi6 manifold using all the GTi6s sensors and this hasnt changed a thing.

Im feeling that it might be worn injectors still letting a little fuel through but really i dont have a clue.

I have the same issue, since I fitted the gti6 manifold it's made it more noticible

Re: Revs Hanging. - Fozzy - 05-01-2012

I had this issue when fitting the gti manifold to my XSi

Re: Revs Hanging. - Dum-Dum - 05-01-2012

It was doing it on the XSi manifold though too

Mine did it on the xsi manifold, but is now more obvious now fitted the gti one

You checked the easy ones like sticky throttle cable? Airleak? Did you put a new gasket on it?

Re: Revs Hanging. - Niall - 05-01-2012

Mines always done it since ive had it on two different sets of injectors. I also know that both of grants have done it and the car we bought for spares did it. Think it's just a pug thing!
