New wheels fitted... - cwspellowe - 24-10-2012

For those that didn't see it go viral on Facebook yesterday, here's the estate on its new wheels.

XXR 530's imported from Cali, 16x8.25, ET-45 with hub adapters for 4x100, M12x1.5 stud and nut conversion with anodised red lug nuts. 195/40/16 Falken ZE912's.

And to pre-empt the inevitable questions..

Yes there was a lot of angle grinding that day
Yes the bearings will probably die within a few months
and
Yes the arches are staying black.. for now.

Ah well, enjoy Smile

RE: New wheels fitted... - JackLewis_Dturbo - 24-10-2012

think this is awesome!!

if it was mine i would paint the arches and get a rivnut gun to change those screws for shiny bolts Smile

Was there a lot of angle grinding that day?!? Haha
I bet your bearings will probably die in a few months!
Will the arches be staying black?

Arch extensions are eBay specials, nowhere near fit as standard though, needed loads of trimming and cutting them for the rear doors was a PITA

Dave, they're ET0 as standard. Spacers ftw!

RE: New wheels fitted... - bayley - 24-10-2012

looks fat mate, low & wide...have you got the ebay link for them mate ?

RE: New wheels fitted... - C.A.R. - 24-10-2012

Looks pretty immense buddy, shame the weather is so drab right now though! Hopefully the sun will shine at FCS Smile

RE: New wheels fitted... - cwspellowe - 24-10-2012

Yeah FCS is going to be immense next year. Especially as my turbi's almost dead so that might need replacing soon... ninja

RE: New wheels fitted... - samass - 24-10-2012

Love that front shot, so wide!

RE: New wheels fitted... - Slam Wagon - 24-10-2012

Sick build, i thought mine was wide at 8 inch with -20. Do you rear doors even open? My door shuts were where mine kept rubbing.

RE: New wheels fitted... - cwspellowe - 24-10-2012

Yep doors open fine. Cut away most of the shut haha

Re: New wheels fitted... - Dan! - 24-10-2012

Just looked at the photos again, how do your rear doors open, the arch is completely over it?!

RE: New wheels fitted... - gurj306 - 24-10-2012

Mmmmmmmm this is so sexuallll I lovee this car!

RE: New wheels fitted... - Choppin - 24-10-2012

100% win! This 306 is epic! Lol

RE: New wheels fitted... - cwspellowe - 24-10-2012

Dan the rears are in two pieces, one attached to the door and one to the rear quarter Wink

RE: New wheels fitted... - Kwik - 24-10-2012

well done them wheels are nice and the stretch really works well

RE: New wheels fitted... - gti-6 - 24-10-2012

love the look of it very cool.

RE: New wheels fitted... - karl1989 - 24-10-2012

the first pic doesnt do it for me the bumper and wheels look to big but when i looked at the rest its epic winning mate. think the arches would look good if you used rivets Smile

RE: New wheels fitted... - zx_volcane - 24-10-2012

Those wheels are ridiculous Wink

RE: New wheels fitted... - Ben - 24-10-2012

Looks awesome! Would love some wheels like that but I daren't think how much it must have cost to get them on! Don't often see more camber at the front than the back either, very unique

RE: New wheels fitted... - Curt - 24-10-2012

Love the wheels, just not sold on the arches that accommodate them...

RE: New wheels fitted... - Will_306_hdi - 24-10-2012

Looks f****ing sweet. SmileWink

What front bumper is that
looks lower than standard.

RE: New wheels fitted... - cwspellowe - 24-10-2012

Front bumper is a phase 3 one with some ninja work done to it lol

Ben, the wheels were less than you think, but the adapters, studs, nuts etc all add up.. thank god for tax rebates eh?

Re: New wheels fitted... - Alee83 - 24-10-2012
