Changing heater matrix - Ben - 09-10-2012 Just printed off a guide from the gti forum to help me change my matrix. This one - http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=78999&page=1 It says that it is a guide for a 'BEHR' system. I don't know whether or not I have a BEHR system, but I'm assuming even if I don't there shouldn't be any major differences in the job? RE: Changing heater matrix - Ben - 13-10-2012 Just used the guide to take the dash out, went pretty well. I thought that would have been the hard part! Struggling with the matrix though, the guide makes it sound pretty simple, 'just 2 10mm bolts and a torx bolt and the box around the matrix will come off', but mines still pretty sturdy. And the other side of the bulkhead I can't get the pipes off the matrix. I've seen the little springy clip you have to compress but even with it compressed I can't budge the pipes. Anyone a matrix pro?! |
