catalyst help - smokey - 08-10-2012 I am currently miss firing under 2000 revs when i poke the go pedal will it make my cat colapse i had a simillar problem with my 406 2.0 turbo and the cat collapsed Cus of the unburnet fuel exploding in the downpipe and thoughts will be appreciated RE: catalyst help - C.A.R. - 08-10-2012 I had a cat collapse on my 1.8 16v so it's not out of the question. If you're concerned about it then don't drive the car until it's sorted. If it's a missfire then check the sparks first. RE: catalyst help - JackLewis_Dturbo - 08-10-2012 put a de cat on, diesels dont need them anyway... A cheap catalytic converter would do the trick... RE: catalyst help - JackLewis_Dturbo - 08-10-2012 oops! thought you were talking about a dtub ![]() RE: catalyst help - puglove - 09-10-2012 sounds like it needs the problem sorting rather than worring about the cat |
