RE: Peugeot 208 R5 - darrenjlobb - 27-09-2012 WTF, peugeot in 2012 made a car that looks good again, thats a first! A step in the right direction thats for sure...but i bet it dosnt blow coal ![]() RE: Peugeot 208 R5 - 4WayDiablo - 27-09-2012 As said. First car since the 306 that its slightly appealing! RE: Peugeot 208 R5 - puglove - 27-09-2012 I actually quite liked the 207 gti ![]() but on this note, i like the new 208, and this is just porn ![]() RE: Peugeot 208 R5 - Matt - 27-09-2012 I have an erection. That is f*cking beautiful! RE: Peugeot 208 R5 - Kwik - 27-09-2012 that is eye candy RE: Peugeot 208 R5 - Jonny81191 - 27-09-2012 That is pure pornograpy. Peugeot 208 R5 - Jake - 27-09-2012 What a beaut' RE: Peugeot 208 R5 - Andy - 27-09-2012 Need... Tissues! B-e-a-utiful. RE: Peugeot 208 R5 - samass - 27-09-2012 mmmm gorgeous! RE: Peugeot 208 R5 - Kezzieboy - 28-09-2012 Wow, they managed to make the 208 look good...that must have required some serious black-magic fuckery! RE: Peugeot 208 R5 - Pete - 28-09-2012 Looks great, Love the rear arches. RE: Peugeot 208 R5 - Curt - 28-09-2012 Looks pretty awesome RE: Peugeot 208 R5 - Dum-Dum - 28-09-2012 That is stunning but youll never get a standard 208 looking like that cos theyer just not lookers. That said having seen the 208 prices recently if they release the wide arch version to the public with a diesel engine ill certainly be looking for a test drive, maybe more. RE: Peugeot 208 R5 - Scott - 28-09-2012 I test drove a standard 208 a little while back (1.6 HDi I believe?) and it really wasn't particularly nice to drive...way too light on the steering, it felt like it wasn't connected! Rolled around everywhere and was stupidly slow. I'm going to test the GTi though at some point ![]() RE: Peugeot 208 R5 - Dum-Dum - 28-09-2012 (28-09-2012, 06:07 PM)Scott Wrote: I test drove a standard 208 a little while back (1.6 HDi I believe?) and it really wasn't particularly nice to drive...way too light on the steering, it felt like it wasn't connected! I'm going to test the GTi though at some point I can imagine the light steering and that but im supprised at the slowness as the 1.6HDi is a good engine and theyer really light for a modern car (lighter than a 6) RE: Peugeot 208 R5 - kyleo92 - 28-09-2012 (28-09-2012, 06:16 PM)Dum-Dum Wrote:(28-09-2012, 06:07 PM)Scott Wrote: I test drove a standard 208 a little while back (1.6 HDi I believe?) and it really wasn't particularly nice to drive...way too light on the steering, it felt like it wasn't connected! Also although we all hate the bonnet on it... it would be very easy to smooth off ![]() BTW 208 GTI is now available http://www.peugeot.co.uk/showroom/208/gti/#! along with a special edition which they are only releasing 25 of in the UK market. http://www.peugeot.co.uk/showroom/208/gti/#!limited-edition/208-gti-limited-edition/exterior-style-1 RE: Peugeot 208 R5 - Scott - 28-09-2012 I'm actually going to go to Peugeot next weekend and test drive the Gti! Think it's getting the 2 litre turbo petrol engine in it.. Which I think is 200bhp RE: Peugeot 208 R5 - Dum-Dum - 29-09-2012 (28-09-2012, 09:47 PM)kyleo92 Wrote: They made two 1.6E-HDi's though.... an 92bhp non turbo and a 112bhp turbo model, I can imagine the non turbo to not be the nippiest.Nope the 1.6HDi in the 208 is 158bhp and 1080kg. Its actually a better power to weight ratio than a GTi6 (29-09-2012, 10:47 AM)kyleo92 Wrote: If they did the gti with the flared wheel arches I would sell my grandma immediately! Seconded. RE: Peugeot 208 R5 - Scott - 29-09-2012 I'm not sure where you found that mate, the 1.6 HDi is 110bhp according to every review I've seen RE: Peugeot 208 R5 - Dum-Dum - 29-09-2012 Peugeot website mate, standby and ill get a screenshot. EDIT: Dum-Dum fail! I was reading the specs for the THP lump FLOL TBH the 1.6 HDi is pretty tuneable so still a good option. RE: Peugeot 208 R5 - Scott - 29-09-2012 Lol I thought you were! I think having just driven the RCZ it probably wasn't best to go and drive the 208, it might have been better if I'd just driven that out of the bat. Kyle I'll post my thoughts on the RCZ a little later ![]() |
