My engine is dead, and I may just get rid of it, have no time or space anymore to have it off the road, plus I can't keep ploughing money and time into it as I am hopefully getting my own house soonish..
Want to see if I could sell it as a whole car to someone who has time and space to fix it, it's too good to die.
Spec:
PH2 Dturbo, black, 97, 153k miles. Bottom end gone.
PH3 bumpers and sideskirts rallye blanks
GTI 6 front brakes
GTI 6 rear beam
205 gti steering wheel
Boost, oil pressure, oil temperature gauges
although unsure of engine condition, it may still have good HDI rods in it, plus a TD04 turbo attached. The TD04 has some exhaust leaks still, nothing exhaust paste can't fix. Welded wastegate too.
Also has had the rear quarter panel welded up very well, some of the best welding I have seen.
MOT til June I think, tax end of November AFAIK.
What do you think it could be worth as a whole?

How has the bottom end gone? has it spat a rod?...

No idea, almost like it had no oil, yet it's got plenty. Knocking badly til it wouldnt run, a LOT of smoke coming out the oil filler tube.
