URGENT! Radiator Change - THE_Liam - 26-08-2012 Right guys, can't find anything on the search function because my Internet is down (Virgin are shit) so I'm on tapa. Swapping the rad on my early phase 1 XUD for one that Kyle gave me off another phase 1, and there's a problem: The old rad has 2 small pipes going into the bottom of the expansion tank and the new one only has 1. I really don't wanna buy a new rad because this is a temp car and the HG might have gone anyway. What are these pipes for, and is there a way I can bypass one? Any ideas greatly appreciated ![]() URGENT! Radiator Change - THE_Liam - 26-08-2012 Slight update, followed the hose that goes into the wheel arch and it seems to join the main bottom hose somewhere behind the turbo, this is the one I'm thinking I can bypass. Anyone have any idea what it's for? HELP!!! RE: URGENT! Radiator Change - THE_Liam - 26-08-2012 Never mind, ordered a new rad with the correct fittings (£36.50 brand new! I love not having to buy vag parts) , won't be here in time for me going to Cornwall but I'm just gonna rent a car... RE: URGENT! Radiator Change - rocker8742 - 26-08-2012 Where'd you get that from mate? URGENT! Radiator Change - THE_Liam - 26-08-2012 eBay ![]() RE: URGENT! Radiator Change - puglove - 27-08-2012 You could have just joined the 2 pipes into one then put it on the rad with some £1.50 halford pipe joiner /T junction lol URGENT!
