General questions regarding handling... - InkedMuttley - 29-07-2012 Okay yesterday I was generally farting about with the car as you do and noticed...well I noticed it after about 3 weeks of ownership but now it's becoming a little more alarming. The front left tyre is completely scrubbed on the outer edge not the pressures as they're all the same, 32psi in each tyre (checked religiously) now if it tracking or is it the fact I go round corners probably way too quickly? Also I get a bit of vibration in it, anything up to 70mph it's fine but then it starts to shake like a shitting dog and the steering feels a bit 'Floaty' is how I'd describe it...anything over 75 and the vibration disappears. Any ideas? RE: General questions regarding handling... - declantg - 29-07-2012 Sounds like either a buckled wheel or your missing a weight or two on one of your tyres which is causing the wobble after 75. you should definitely get your tracking checked as that's what would cause wear to the outer edge General questions regarding handling... - Jukie88 - 29-07-2012 Get the wheel balanced fella RE: General questions regarding handling... - daddyfixit - 29-07-2012 wheel balancing is first , cheapest option----to find/cure vibration 4 wheel alignment with a decent operator would pinpoint the tyre wear. |
