Project Viking - Toby - 19-12-2011

Morning all,

Figured it's about time I started my own little project thread to track my progress.

I bought this car exactly a year ago, completely standard for £445.

To date, I have:

- Fitted 14" swallows and painted them white (halfords paint ftw)
- Fitted 2 600W amps, powering 6x9's and my sub
- KrisB has fitted a GTi rear axle, as well as HDi front shocks & brakes. Back lowered 90mm, front 60mm
- Tuned the bosch pump using external controls, no internal mods made yet (apart from rotating LDA)
- Put in the alacantra seats from a GTi6
- Added several (tasteful!) stickers..
- Chrome heat shielded K&N air intake, hidden below the top radiator hose
- Dash mounted boost gauge (only a halfords jobbie for the time being)
- Oval exit exhaust pipe with large back box which gives a nice rumble at low revs

A few piccies, I can't make up my mind whether to stay for an OEM+ look, or make further external mods.
