Had this a few times on my 306 always leave my 6 in gear esp when on a hill Smile atleast its only the rear bumper by yhe looks of it so a easy fix if you can find a black bumper Smile

Lucky it wasn't the panel above. It's a bitch to repair. But easy to get another bumper so lucky there mate!

If you have rear disc's on a 306, always, always, always leave it in gear as it will roll away on even the slightest of slope, the disc handbrakes are shit! lol

RE: 306 Handbrakes - Eeyore - 12-07-2012

looks like youve been lucky with that one!

Never had a problem with mine! Held solid on like 3 clicks and never rolled away. Big Grin

Had nothing but problems with drums though. Dodgy

RE: 306 Handbrakes - rocker8742 - 13-07-2012

seems to be holding fine now on the same click it was when i left it Confused

on the bright side the dent in my bumper has pushed itself out and now is just a small crease above the number plate light Smile

Might be a knackered ratchet in the lever that occasionally lets go.......I had to change two of mine as previous owners obviously can't press the button to apply the handbrake!! 'Clickclickclickclickclick' Doh

I have bad history with handbrakes lol
