Im asking on behalf of my mate could u fit a xud9 engine i a renault kangoo or fitt the gearbox off the renault 1.9d onto the xud block any suggestions appreciated my personal thoughts are that it wont work and gearbox wont fit as both blocks are different and gear linkages on both boxes are different just thought ad ask u lot just to make sure theres not just me think this thanks bealey

I don't think it will be a direct fit. it could be done with some modifying

Nah, the Renault F series diesel is totally different to the XU/XUD bellhousing pattern.

Anything can be done, it just depends what your like at fabrication/engineering
All Ruan was saying is that the standard box won't fit the XUD engine
