this is my first petrol for about 8 years so not sure on the laws, its a 1997 gti, do I need a cat for mot, just wondering whether to bother making it easy to refit when I cut it out

Yes you do, decat pipes are actually pretty cheap. But whatever you do, definitely make it easy to swap the cat back on

cool cheers, I'll try to cut it out so I can sleeve it back in come mot time, not buying anything not needed for this car so if I can't make it myself its probably not going to happen

dear mr mot tester man the engine in my car is from a pre 1991 car there for i do not need emissions test
