how many mm do the pistons in an xud protrude by? Accuracy is key here..

Yeah i could of sworn i read it in there, ended up finding it - page 3, 56 or something midway through. Found above link first, easier to find :p

Going to practice grinding on a scrap renault block/pistons before taking to the xud block. Shame it protrudes less than a 1mm though :/ which is what i want to lopp off ideally..!

IIRC each block needs measuring individually due to differences in manufacture and the possibility its previously been skimmed.

Easy to do, pop 2 pistons at TDC, run a straight edge between them and stuff feeler blades between the straight edge and the block face.
