I have an 1.9 td XUD xsara with an aircon and power steering. The original alternator is an pathetic 80 amps one which barely manages to keep the voltage above 13 v with the aircon and the lights on. (earth points checked, alternator voltage regulator checked, etc. still the same)
Now I plan going for a sub and an amp setup and I do think that the current alternator is not up to the job.
Is an alternator from a 2.0 hdi is a straight swap? I know they are very beefy being up to 150 amps
