xud9 gearbox ratio question - unclebeast - 17-01-2019

Cant get insurance for my XUD9A with XUD9TE engine in it (modified) has anyone run the nad engine on the TD gearbox...are the longer ratios unfeasable....Thanks

the 1.9 xud is slow enough as it is i think you would end up with a, having to change down a gear for hills you didn't realise were there.
really daft how you can't insure it. it should just be the same as insuring a normal 306 td

What year is it? mines on a 1997(P) and that's insured via Footman James at £137 a year on a classic policy..
Cant answer the Gearbox question I'm afraid but will have a Nad gearbox for sale within a few weeks if needed.

I once drove a 405 1.6 petrol with an XUD TD box on it (owner done it for extra economy) and it was pretty dire acceleration after 3rd. I can't imagine a 1.9 NAD being man enough to make 5th feasible it's already a pretty long gear in the TD tbh
