My 1.4 China project!!! - Foxy-jim - 12-12-2011

Hi all,

As said in my newbie thread, many of you will already know me but for those who dont I have a 1.4 306!

So far I have:

Lowered my car a lot on coilovers
4-2-1 exhaust manifold and full stainless system
VTR inlet manifold
Induction kit
Smoothed bonnet and boot
Phase 3 spoiler
Changed the headgasket and cambelt
Gti rear beam

Not a massive list as trying to balance the car and paying for uni haha.

Here are some pics:

With alloys (which are now for sale)

So future plans...

Flare my rear arches
14x8.5jrears and 7.5/8j front banded steels
Shorter and stiffer coilover springs
Gaz gold rear shocks
Polybush engine mounts
Smooth bumpers
VTR engine block
Cams
Standalone ECU
Throttle bodies
Re-upholster seats

Probably more when I think about it! Haha. Let me know what think!

that is one hell of a list of parts there mate!! all on a small engine. but nice to see someone modding a small engine rather than just plonking a gti engine in

Re: My 1.4 China project!!! - Foxy-jim - 12-12-2011

Ye I wanted to do something different really! Once ive done that may look into port polishing and engine balancing! But that is way in the future! Haha. Once that list is done, i will be happy!

Re: My 1.4 China project!!! - Eeyore - 13-12-2011

Car looks amazing mate. How much are you looking to sell the wheels for? Big Grin

Re: My 1.4 China project!!! - Foxy-jim - 13-12-2011

I'm looking for £375 but that obviously includes basically brand new tyres and spigot rings so they sit on the hub with no movement.

You would need 20mm spacers to run them.

Re: My 1.4 China project!!! - Foxy-jim - 13-12-2011
