Central locking weirdness - Piggy - 22-03-2018

I assumed it was classic door loom wire fail...

Lock drivers door and it bounces back up.

Just had both doors off for ease of access and checked wiring. All good.

You can lock all doors/boot with passenger side lock or interior button.

Using drivers door lock or button attempts to lock the boot and drivers door but doesn't do anything to the passenger lock/door.

Am I to assume (rightly I hope) that it points to passenger door lock motor?

Tah all

(Never had to do the motor...it's 100% always been the door loom!)

Just leave it unlocked, it stops theives breaking your windows.

p.s what's your address?

I had this problem but it went away on its own. Am sure it will reoccur at some point tho. If I slammed all the doors really hard (inc the boot) it would then lock. When the doors aren't properly shut the central locking doesn't work - just pops back up. I think (may be wrong on this) that there's a switch to detect when the door mechanism is fully engaged. Could be this is sticking?

EDIT: Sorry, just read your post properly n realised it's not the same problem I had so above suggestion not likely to be any help!!!!

I had this same issue on a Ph2 around 10 years ago, turned out it was the control box under the rear seats. Iirc I had to bridge a green wire to get it to work.
What Phase is it?

Ph3. Doesn't have that box.

I'm pinning it down to the motor in the passenger door...but I have bigger issues for now. Thanks tho
