Citroen zx volcane rear wheel bearings - dt_ - 28-08-2017 Hey up I've got a refurbished axle ready to go on my zx, but it is bare, and I'd like to build it up as much as I can while the new axle is on the bench to minimise the cars time off the road. Most things are pretty straight forward and similar to that fitted on a 306, but I'm confused about the bearings You go on eBay and the bearings are complete with flange and can be up to £80 each I went to GSF and they sell just a bearing for about £20 a side, minus flange So what I'm asking is if any of you knowledgeable people know what's right for the car, and if there are flanges available separately. Car is a 1993 td, rear disc non abs. Cheers for any advice on the matter! RE: Citroen zx volcane rear wheel bearings - welshpug - 28-08-2017 disc bearings are all one piece with hub, drum bearings are separate. RE: Citroen zx volcane rear wheel bearings - dt_ - 28-08-2017 I thought so, thanks for clearing that up Do find it weird that parts places are telling me it's just the bearing on its own, no integral flange. I think it would be easier to search out 306 parts rather than zx volcane parts as it sometimes draws a blank. I'm told that gti6/s16/xsara vts parts fit, would this also be the case for bearings aswell? |
