roof replaced!, but now a bracket has broken! - DogTone - 07-08-2017 hi can anyone help? After spending an entire weekend replacing the roof on my 38000 mile 1.8 cab, on the second test, the clamshell refused to open. After managing to free the mechanism, the offending item is the cast bracket in the back of the hood well. It's the bracket that the hood cover/clamshell raising mechanism/ram attaches to. And it's completely fractured. so, now the problem is sourcing a replacement bracket. Where might I find one of these brackets? thanks in advance? RE: roof replaced!, but now a bracket has broken! - Eeyore - 07-08-2017 best check on ebay? see if you can find someone breaking a cabby? The misc/wanted section on here is a good place to start. RE: roof replaced!, but now a bracket has broken! - Chris1357 - 08-08-2017 Pete on 306Cab.com used to sell an uprated mechanism. Not sure he's still on there or even trading but it's worth a shot. Be prepared to pay around £100 for a complete unit mind having broken around 20 cabs that was the 1st thing to sell.
