ECU swap tips? - TurboJeppe - 10-05-2017 Hi! I might swap my ECU with a ECU without an immobiliser. Is there something I should think about when it comes to looking for a new one? Only matching numbers? Key registration? Plenty of info on web explaining difference between soft n hard unlocking of ECU. Latter costs about £60 in the UK. Soft unlock is free, assuming it can be done on a 1.6.
