Peugeot Cat? - KevinTW - 21-04-2017

I recently took this off and replaced it with a Klarius Cat because it had a hole. I have since welded up the hole. I am not a welder! Is this a Peugeot or aftermarket CAT?  If it is Peugeot should I put it back on?

Thanks Cully it does have PSA in the centre. Would you put it back?

I wouldnt sell it for sure as they are getting rare now
they are much better than the ECP cats

I still run a genuine CAT on my 6 which just sailed through its MOT emissions today
if i could fine another genuine i would buy it if the price was right just to keep on the shelf Wink

As cully said that's a genuine gti6 cat, worth keeping and worth refitting on the vehicle as it is better than pattern ones.

They snap there very often, I converted the joint to a sleeved fit and welded a flexi section in, but the cat itself is still good.

doesn't need a flexi there as there's one at the top end.

The part that sleeves inside the centre section gives it support, but I found after having converted it to a std. shorter sleeve fit that it snapped. Also my exhaust was moving a lot on sprints.

I think better engine mounts will help to sort this, but I put a flexi there at the time and it did help.
