Long-time Pug owner - first 306 - Bolshieoz - 05-04-2017

Hi folks, and thanks for the include. I live in Adelaide, South Australia where we have no shortage of windy hills roads and endless open highways. Just made for Pugs!
I'm a long-time Pug owner, having bought a 405 Mi16 about ten years ago and being hooked from then on.
My Pugs owned so far are, in order
1. White 1989 405 Mi16
2. White 1988 406 STDt - my first Diesel - Wonderful on our vast open roads.
3. Bronze 2000 406 ST - disappointing. Underpowered and relatively thirsty.
4. Grey 2001 406HDi - Nice, but electronically embarrassing.
5. Burgundy 2002 406 SV - Beautiful car with lot's of power but very thirsty.
6 My current, and first 306 XSi. What an amazing beast. Not an S16, I know, but probably the most competent allround car I've owned. An absolute joy to drive in all conditions, yet brilliant on the open road, and handling that 406s only dream of. A keeper.

I made the mistake a couple of years ago of buying a Mazda 323 SP20 with a 2 litre engine. Lovely little car, but only kept it 3 weeks because it didn't feel like a Pug. Sadly, I'm hooked.

Won't make that mistake again lol

welcome to the club fella, bet you wish you still had the 405's, can't knock the handling of a 306 though, i think that's what keeps me hooked, they just feel right! Smile
