Car running hot - Cornishnutter - 14-03-2017

Hello guys, need some advice please? My 1.9 diesel, is running hot about 110 degrees when I'm normally driving , I think this is way to hot as when I stop the fans.sound like a jet engine, so any ideas on why it rugs hot would greatly help, cheers guys

Moved to correct section. Check your thermostat out should open at around 75-85 degrees. Hold the top pupe from cold and wait untill it gets hot. If its not getting hot in that temp range it needs repacing, check coolant, check rad has all its fins.

If you're running at 110 I would guess you've goosed your Head gasket already, they should run at 83 when happy and certainly not much above 90, fans kick in at 92 or there abouts.
