GTI6 Tank Venting - Eeyore - 21-12-2016

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know how the tank venting works on a 1999 Rallye? The misfiring issue still seems to be intermittent. Currently its especially bad when the tank is full but as soon as its off the full marker on the gauge its fine... where as before it was fine as long as it was half full.

How can i check the venting? Does it vent back up to the filler cap? or does it vent via the charcoal canister and solanoid in the engine bay?

already told you to try running with a loose fuel filler cap!

service box has all the pipe routes

Ive loosened it off to the point where its pretty loose and that didnt make any difference. That was when the tank was full and it was having issues.

if its still doing it with a loose filler cap its not a venting issue

instead of guessing at this missfire use data2000 and log the car!
