D turbo conversion advice wanted - adampug - 27-11-2016

Removed this 1.9na out of my peugeot 309 and fitting 306 d turbo lump.
Will I be able to use the 309 thermostat setup and fuel filter on the d turbo engine?

I get that...but you have to remove those items for the swap...so may aswell just take it across to the other engine and see if it fits. Iirc the fuel system is different. Stat opening is different too iirc

Not a 309 but on my bx I swapped from a 1.9 nad to a 1.9 turbo diesel and just transferred the whole cooling system across, thermostat opens at 83c on my nad same as the turbo diesel so swapped that across also.

As piggy and chris say, What I did with my engine conversion even though its a different car, was just use the cars fuel and coolant system.

I'll say yes ; most XUD models, NA/t models have very similar stat setups : unsure why you would swap it over though ...
