Water leak or Coolant Loss... - Biglad - 18-10-2016

Hi all, newbie here.
I have an issue with water loss/coolant leak on a R reg 306 DT.
There is water in the passenger footwell, heater matrix was my thoughts as this was coupled to coolant loss/low level coolant light showing on the dash.
Topped the expansion bottle up and ran the car for approx. 15 minutes as it had been stood a while.
I noticed water under the car, on the floor.
On closer inspection water was coming out of what looks like a rubber drain pipe in the bulkhead (near the bottom section). Just above the steering rack. (the rack seems to have a waterproof cover on to combat this??)
However the water coming out was warm, which led me to think that it was engine coolant?
Is this a drain for the heater and point towards a leaking matrix and/or "O" rings?
The car has AC too.
TIA.

That's the AC drain pipe, are you using the AC and heater when this happens?

so if the heater matrix is leaking, its filled up the box and then overflowed down and into the blower motor and then out of the ac overflow? that seems plausible. youll have to lift up the carpet to dry it properly.
