MAF sensor - craig306 - 29-07-2016 Hi all, What can i clean my air flow sensor with, as it has oil on it from the pipper cross air filter i have! Would carb cleaner or brake cleaner be ok to use? RE: MAF sensor - DeeTurbo - 29-07-2016 Just spray it with brake cleaner, don't wipe it with anything as they are very fragile. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk RE: MAF sensor - toseland - 31-07-2016 Spray it with cars cleaner not brake cleaner, softer and a different set of chemicals RE: MAF sensor - Paul_13 - 31-07-2016 I've a couple of mafs spare of you need one RE: MAF sensor - tigerstyle - 31-07-2016 (31-07-2016, 12:46 PM)toseland Wrote: Spray it with cars cleaner not brake cleaner, softer and a different set of chemicals I'm with Dee, Brake cleaner is better. Brake cleaner is alcohol based and leaves no residue, carb cleaner also has lube in it (oil) which is not what you want on a MAF But I think better is electrical connector cleaner, it won't harm plastic which some brake cleaners might. RE: MAF sensor - craig306 - 31-07-2016 i give it a go with some Brake cleaner, i let u guys know how it goes ![]() |
