Newbie with zx volcane td - Danhrc - 15-07-2016

Hi all just joined the site as many guides and people with lots of know how ect 

Quick run down 
Got a volcane 3dr had one years ago and well why not save one as never see them any more 

Was in a bit of a state when a got her bodywork tired few dents very dirty interior and clutch slipping 
But only 3 owners loads of history so went 330miles to get it 

So far i have done 
New 3 part vaelo clutch kit 
New ball joints 
New clutch cable and clip
New hand brake cables 
Service 
Oil pressure switch
Wet vac the whole inside 
Got my mates body shop to paint pritty much most of it removing scuffs on bumpers dent ect (only tailgate and drivers door not done) spoiler and roof trims re done in satin black and the red stripes i have re done with red also 

Still have a list to do but think she looks alright for 22 and 177k

Welcome along, there are a lot of people to help on here if you ever neee anything we are a big comminity and all frindly. Nice looking motor that. Do love a zx. Where abouts do you live

Thanks for comments its a nice car last had one 12yr ago and always wanted another they dont ofteb come up for sale well mk1s so when this did had to get it gets used every day not many problems to sort out to be fair and do you mean the tow eye cover it does drive me mad every time i look at it but no one seams to have one lol 

Also from newcastle upon tyne 
I need to find some one local to do lower my rear beam if any one can do it or know were i can with out costing a fortue one garage said 300 i would have ago my self.but only get 1 day off and have the little one lol

Lovely stuff, what did you do to refresh the red trim?

Some of mine has gone brittle.

Shame I'm not nearer otherwise would of offered a hand with the axle

Lol ate a dont think it be 2 bad ad have a go me self but am limited with time off so would rather get some one who has done it before there must be some one local that can do it may be some one or here or that knows some 1 local to me  

Thank you for your offer just a bit far for both of us lol

The red trim was just faded so look led for new ones but if u find them they are a fortune so used red vinyl looks good need to take tem off and as some of the trims have chips out duno how then re do 

Handy being a ex spray painter can do a lot my self but many frinds have body shops lol

This pretty much. There are other technical sections as well, so choose the one that you think suits your query the best, if you get it wrong, there are always mods on hand to move it to a more appropriate section for you. Just look for anyone with a pink name (like mine). Smile

Which parts you after, lot of stuff is stupidly rare these days, just have to keep an eye out

Hello i am after a tow eye cover for f bumper
Some window rubbers(ones that go left to right if that makes sence) for f doors as mine arnt that good
Central locking fob and the box that is next to hand brake

In i ideal world some f seats as have a bit wear and are faded abit but may put gti leather and alcantara in a duno yet sorry for the list are you the man for parts lol

I cant promise anything but i might have a tow eye cover in silver in the shed from my old volcane.. i remember removing it before i weighed it in!
