Best place to buy Cyclones? - Trigger Happy - 15-06-2016
I'm looking to buy 4 cyclones in good condition (i.e. recently refurbished) where should I look and how much should I expect to pay?

its a lottery buying clones
recently referbished to different people means different things
you can pick up clones with no tyres from £40 upwards depending on condition
you need to check what bolts you have as clones take flat seated bolts but
there are two types of bolts so two types of drilling's in the clones for these bolts
the early clones have a parallel bolt bore
where as the later clones have a stepped bore
the later stepped bolt will not fit the early parallel drilled clone
but the early parallel bolts will fit the latter stepped bored clone

Imo the best thing to do is buy cheap and get refurbished, as long as they are straight when you get them theyll be fine then. That way you know whats been done

Defo best to buy them cheap yourself and get them refurbished as that way you can tet it done to a standard that suits you.
IMO nobody is going to get a set refurbed and sell them straight away as they'd loose a load of money on them so if they are selling freshly "refurbished" ones then I'd be very very wary of the quality.
