RE: Quaife ATB Exploded View - Magenta Sunset - 27-05-2016

yoikes!
I understand the workings of a normal 'sun n planet' diff, but i'll have to look up an animated clip to figure this. Huh

RE: Quaife ATB Exploded View - cully - 27-05-2016

it really clever the design, with no power driving the crown-wheel the diff acts as a normal open diff
but as soon as you drive the crown-wheel the planets lock the suns

RE: Quaife ATB Exploded View - Piggy - 27-05-2016

Still confused.

I put it down to magic

Looks very complicated but then I'm a chippy lol. Getting a diff soon but wondering what type to go for with high boost. Got a standard 6 speed box for now with paddle plate and genuine pressure plate. Any ideas??

RE: Quaife ATB Exploded View - toseland - 28-05-2016

Whatever you like.. clutch type, torsen type quaife type.. all a matter of preference.. they all have pros and cons.. the latter is far more positive

RE: Quaife ATB Exploded View - luke306rallye - 28-05-2016

I've got a quaife with helix paddle and pressure plate on my high boost, it's awesome.
