Servicebox isn't failsafe. This is one area where it really is that simple, not like trying to identify ball joints lol.

changed first poist

RE: heater box conversion - Toms306 - 18-04-2016

You'd need to pull the whole dash out to change the box where you can get away just pulling it forward a bit for the matrix, and change the heater dials and possibly loom on the box. Its a lot of hassle for no real gain that I can see?

I have a valeo box in with a free heyer matrix that was only done just before i got it

RE: heater box conversion - Toms306 - 18-04-2016

Ah ok, makes sense. It would be more effort, but cheaper if you don't have to buy another matrix.

RE: heater box conversion - welshpug - 18-04-2016

you need to cut the hole in the scuttle panel, use the non ac control panel, non ac heater control wiring.

remove ac pipes and block hole in bulkhead.

i think all that work is worth far more than the difference between ac and non ac matrixes.

RE: heater box conversion - Piggy - 19-04-2016

Hmm we will have to see. Id rather not cause myself extra work atm but im running short of funds untill payday. Ive got a few jobs on this week though that should help out. Ill see if the motorfactors can send up both valeo and behr so i can compare and see if the valeo one will fit as its £30 cheaper

RE: heater box conversion - welshpug - 19-04-2016

no it wont fit.

many have tried lol

RE: heater box conversion - Eeyore - 19-04-2016

Just get the right one. It's painful enough as it is
