After advice where about to fit them...

Looking at getting this just not sure where best they are fitted? I would like to fit it somewhere where it could be reversed as I it will be placed else where in the future...

I mean the sensor, sorry should have made myself more clear Sad

ive added a remote pressure sensor and extra switch by fitting this to the second oil port in the block above the starter motor
this gives me oil pressure gauge and an early warning oil light at 25psi

Sandwich plate between oil filter and the cooler?

I used a sarnie plate on my hdi.
as for the 25psi sensor, could be 'worrying' when idling - - -

Not to bothered about the low pressure switch but thanks, would this be reversible then cully?

Without looking at the block not really sure where we are on about but I will look, Thanks.

The reason I would like it reversible is because I will be fitting a pace scavenge pump soon and its got a place for the oil pressure sensor.

I suppose I could just wait, the only reason I wanted to fit one early is to get readings so I could set the oil pressure as its manually set. I could ask one of you nice guys to give me the readings so I could set it Smile

This sounds like it could work as I would be removing this anyway Smile

the XU10J4RS engine Manual states

for oil at 80c
1000rpm = 1 bar oil pressure
2000rpm = 3.5 bar oil pressure
4000rpm = 5.5 bar oil pressure
oil relief spring is set to 6.5 bar max

my rebuilt engine with a std oil pump maintains these pressures very well with good castrol edge 5-40 fully synthetic oil with temps of 100c on track

yes where i have tapped into the block there is a blank plug you remove so is reversible Wink
