Or for the 20 seconds that it takes to do you might as well swap them over, if you have a few people in the back or a lot of stuff in the car it becomes a bit of a PITA getting out of the car with an allen key and opening the bonnet to readjust the lights while your driving.......................

Re: phase 2 to phase 3 lights - n0v0s - 10-06-2012

I used ph3 adjusters for my crystals on my ph2.5 car and they work fine..

Parts bin win?

Re: phase 2 to phase 3 lights - Ruan - 11-06-2012

Yeah, parts bin specials use the later style connectors... But I've also a feeling some part binners use twin optic frosties...

I had them, so yep Smile

And as others have said - it takes literally 30 seconds to swap over the connectors. Definitely worth it.

I put crystals on my ph 2, swapped the adjusters and they don't work Sad

Thats because you havent put them back in properly, I just swap the top part of it over instead of the whole thing, much easyer. will get some pics

On the parts bin subject. my old 2.5 Gti6 had ph3 adjusters and twin optics in a ph2 head light, im guessing all ph2 head lights with a ph3 adjuster is a twin optic.

RE: phase 2 to phase 3 lights - bowers - 21-07-2012

What you mean top parts? I just swapped the pArt that twists and then pulls out

RE: phase 2 to phase 3 lights - samass - 21-07-2012

did you make sure you got it clipped back into the reflector?

RE: phase 2 to phase 3 lights - bowers - 22-07-2012

The ball popped into the clip, then I twisted it to lock it

The bit the twists out has a cover/plug over the top of it you can just pop that plug bit off and put the one from the ph2 on , i will get some pics today as its hard to explain.

I do it the way because i cant ever get the ball back in any sence or in the correct position

RE: phase 2 to phase 3 lights - bowers - 22-07-2012

Will try to have a look today Smile

And then just dap the others on, and hey presto no need to realine the lights

phase 2 to phase 3 lights - bowers - 01-08-2012

So which part do I actually swap mate?

RE: phase 2 to phase 3 lights - puglove - 01-08-2012

The bit that is in my hand simply pop them off both lights (ph2 lights & ph3 lights) then pop the ph2 ones onto the crystals, the ph2 on will be brown,

phase 2 to phase 3 lights - bowers - 02-08-2012

So take the back off the phase 2 ones and put em on ph3 ones. Sound Smile

RE: phase 2 to phase 3 lights - puglove - 02-08-2012

They are brown and a ph2 but yes. You only need to unclip the top half rather than take the whole thing out.

phase 2 to phase 3 lights - bowers - 30-08-2012

Finally got round to doin this yesterday. Hasn't worked. Both sets of my adjusters look exactly the same too. Tried swapping everything over and tryin every combination but hasn't worked.
They work cuz moved the switch without the adjusters in the light and they were moving. Dunno what to do?

Re: phase 2 to phase 3 lights - vlj - 30-08-2012

Take pictures of the two adjusters you have?

They are the ph3 ones, do you have the brown ones?

phase 2 to phase 3 lights - bowers - 30-08-2012

They are all the same mate. No brown ones. Took a pic of one that was in the ph2 lights, and a pic of one of the ones out of the crystals
