Maybe moving.... to Stroud! Anyone local? - cpikey316_ - 28-03-2016 Anyone from Stroud. Got a job in a local school so need the low down on the area. Will be moving to either Stroud or Gloucester, depending on where wife can get work. Good/bad areas etc. Any info appreciated. RE: Maybe moving.... to Stroud! Anyone local? - adam b - 28-03-2016 Stroud is better than Gloucester. Most places are lol Careful where you move versus job as traffic can be a nightmare I live just north of Cheltenham RE: Maybe moving.... to Stroud! Anyone local? - Piggy - 28-03-2016 Aye well said. I live east gloucestershire. Towards cotswolds is much nicer but you can pay 30% more towards ciren than in stroud itself RE: Maybe moving.... to Stroud! Anyone local? - cpikey316_ - 29-03-2016 Been to Cheltenham!! Traffic was bad! Want to be close to wife work. She works for Sainsburys so hopefully she can get a transfer. Stroud looks really nice, at least the bits i drove through did!! RE: Maybe moving.... to Stroud! Anyone local? - thododd - 29-03-2016 Im in Cashes green, i like the area, been here 2.5yrs commuting to bristol. My missus used to work in the sainsburys at cainscross and walked the 1.5 miles over the tracks and down the canal, she enjoyed that particular store (having worked in the glos quays and barnwood) but she left last year to start her PGCE. Slamwagon is in stonehouse. RE: Maybe moving.... to Stroud! Anyone local? - cpikey316_ - 29-03-2016 School is in Paganshill. (Not the posh ones!) So that end of town is appealing. I guess ill get school kids wherever i am in Stroud. Trying to find a house is not easy |
