'Black' Masking Headlights - c.gerrard - 09-05-2012 Just a few questions. First, with black masking crystals, I'm assuming that people use a matt black paint, wondering if a gloss black would work just as well or if anyone has or seen what it would like in graphite (rims are going to be that colour, so it would match them) Also, they almost, slightly, nearly, kind of, dont fit in the oven (which is how i've heard you separate them), is there any other options? Cheers Re: 'Black' Masking Headlights - 4WayDiablo - 09-05-2012 use whatever paint you want, gloss or matt is fine other options are heat gun or if you have depo's then you may be lucky with a hot hair dryer ![]() Re: 'Black' Masking Headlights - spike2002 - 09-05-2012 I used a hair dryer for mine (depo) viewtopic.php?f=30&t=3212&hilit=Mask+depo Re: 'Black' Masking Headlights - c.gerrard - 09-05-2012 Brilliant cheers, so I would have to hold a hair dryer over it for about half an hour then! What do you mean by depo? is that a make? Might have to get vengeful with a hammer ![]() Re: 'Black' Masking Headlights - spike2002 - 09-05-2012 Yes depo is the make if you have got valeo you will probly struggle to open them with a hair dryer if you have depos it can be done with hair dryer just heat a section at a time and gently prise them open ![]() ![]() Re: 'Black' Masking Headlights - Jonny81191 - 09-05-2012 heat gun will work.. bring them over at some point, I'll get them apart for you Re: 'Black' Masking Headlights - spike2002 - 09-05-2012 ^^^^^ this if you have valeo ![]() Re: 'Black' Masking Headlights - Eeyore - 09-05-2012 heat gun works a trick but dont burn yourself like somebody i know did ![]() Re: 'Black' Masking Headlights - kingy - 10-05-2012 good luck with this mate. matt/gloss black imo. Re: 'Black' Masking Headlights - mark_airey - 10-05-2012 I was going to say what Jonny said ![]() But is Jonny is having a go then standard procedure is to give me a ring once he breaks them ![]() Re: 'Black' Masking Headlights - Jonny81191 - 10-05-2012 I won't break them.. anyway, there's a spare set here, and Carl has 2 sets.
