GUIDE: Dual Horns - Eeyore - 08-05-2012 Right some of you may be aware that the 306 actually has two horn connectors but peugeot only ever used one. The other is cable tied up to another pipe/loom out of the way. 1) First of all you'll need to find a second horn. Do not use an air horn without the relay as it doesnt work! Pretty much any off a french car should fit straight away but if you want to be more adventurous we found that horns from lots of other cars had the same connection. For example we (myself and Toms306) fitted a volvo horn to a 106. Something different from the standard horn would probably sound best in order to make a two tone effect! 2) The horn is located infront of the passenger side wheel. To best get access to it you will need to remove the wheel and then the archliner. 3) You will then be able to see the horn. Above it and further towards the front there should be a second unused connector. You will need to cut the cable tie. 4) People have done this before by extending the second bolt on the horn arm to allow a second horn to be mounted above. However I found that it is possible just to turn the second horn upside down thus facing the other way and having the horn above the bracket. See the picture and it will make sense! ![]() 5) Testing time! Just the archliner and wheel to back put on and youre done! Comparison: With the single stock horn... ![]() and with the two horns... ![]() And there you go! Not the most useful guide in the world as im sure anyone can do it but at least its a mod that will be brought to peoples attention! Sure he'll be along to confirm shortly! Re: GUIDE: Dual Horns - Niall - 27-05-2012 Ed Doe Wrote:Haha fair play. I still will have train horns eventually!Niall Wrote:There not real train horns. Your horn should either have "L" for "Low" stamped on it or "H" for "High". Whichever you have fitted, you want the opposite and then wire that in. Instead of a weedy French "PAP-PAP",you should have a nice loud German "PARP,out of the way peasants" horn instead ![]() Re: GUIDE: Dual Horns - Daniel306 - 30-05-2012 Or you could just adjust the tuning screw Re: GUIDE: Dual Horns - Dave - 31-05-2012 Re: GUIDE: Dual Horns - Grant - 31-05-2012 Mate that is dedication!
