1.9dt conversion from 1.9d - karl1989 - 06-01-2016 Hib guys picking up a 1.9dt engine for my flat diesel Berlingo. I've heard lots of rumours of having to splice looms ect and thought i would make sure 100%. The van is a 03 plate 1.9d and putting in the 1.9dt. All I can think is there basically the same so plug and play and the down pipe will need changing. Anyone shed some light on if this is just a basic straight swap RE: 1.9dt conversion from 1.9d - pugtk - 07-01-2016 DW8 OR XUD Engine? RE: 1.9dt conversion from 1.9d - karl1989 - 10-01-2016 I'm getting the Xud engine RE: 1.9dt conversion from 1.9d - aggyj17 - 11-01-2016 I would use all the sensors from the 1.9d then they should all just plug in. Then it's just a case of a 12v live to the pump RE: 1.9dt conversion from 1.9d - xudlingo - 11-01-2016 I have done this twice done a neater job second time lol dw8 and xud look same but lots differences. I used xud block a 206 hdi gearbox (wanted it hydrolic) 206 flywheel dw8 power steering alternator (modified bracket) dw8 mounts you can use xud ones but won't sit correct (tested first time round) if that help 1.9dt conversion from 1.9d - karl1989 - 11-01-2016 Ye been told to use Xud mount but told the bottom mount will need indjusting RE: 1.9dt conversion from 1.9d - xudlingo - 11-01-2016 The xud engine one is to short has to be modified. The rear one you just have to move the fork bit on subframe. also if you want a rev counter and van to come out eco mod you will need to use dw8 flywheel and clutch has teeth on it for the flywheel but it's a tiny clutch so I used a 206 clutch and fly with teeth in right place. The later van has a multi plex wireloom like a 206 that's what makes it harder You can see xud mount is to short in pic below I learned all this by trial and error ">">">">">">"> 1.9dt conversion from 1.9d - karl1989 - 14-01-2016 Is yours same shape as mine? RE: 1.9dt conversion from 1.9d - xudlingo - 14-01-2016 " /> Same as yours phase 2 best thing to do for it to fit best is use as much berlingo stuff as you canĀ I done more work then I had to Are you going to be tuning or running standard ? RE: 1.9dt conversion from 1.9d - karl1989 - 17-01-2016 What did you do wiring wise just send a 12v to the pump? 1.9dt conversion from 1.9d - karl1989 - 17-01-2016 Tuning. Already got Bosch and big blower Right got a 306 for the donor. Need as much info as possible as this is happening this week. I'm using the dt clutch and box. Am I right I may have to modify the lower mount, 12v to pump and rest on sensors swap from the nad? RE: 1.9dt conversion from 1.9d - xudlingo - 18-01-2016 Yes you need to use dw8 loom to keep van happy (ecomod ) guess your running more boost lol you will need to weld tabs on to xud flywheel if possible or do what I done get a 206 fly I got 180 gti one grinded all edge so only 2 left this also means you get a rev counter Use dw8 mounts RE: 1.9dt conversion from 1.9d - karl1989 - 18-01-2016 What is Ecomod? Yes I'm keeping loom in. Also what did you do with shafts or if easier could you on me your contact number? RE: 1.9dt conversion from 1.9d - xudlingo - 18-01-2016 Pmd you RE: 1.9dt conversion from 1.9d - 089 - 23-01-2016 I didnt get the grind the flywheel part.. care to explain better? is it for the rpm sensor pickup? RE: 1.9dt conversion from 1.9d - Paul_13 - 23-01-2016 I'm guessing you'd use a crank sensor as the pick up and grind the timing teeth off apart from 2 opposite each other. But that would leave the fly wheel dangerously imbalanced imo RE: 1.9dt conversion from 1.9d - welshpug - 23-01-2016 bodgefookintastic this thread!!! RE: 1.9dt conversion from 1.9d - xudlingo - 23-01-2016 Well my bodgefookintastic flywheel has done lots of miles fine also hitting 5500 rpm no problem Only grinded small amount [WHITE SMILING FACE] RE: 1.9dt conversion from 1.9d - Paul_13 - 24-01-2016 Is it balanced or due to break free and rip through the bulkhead |
