Could be CH system pressure Except for the fact i haven't answered a question yet at all. Im not a heating engineer so do not have an answer for Mike. Merely pointing out that theres a few different pressures he could be on about seeing as he didn't make it overly clear. What i can do though is give our situation which may help. i've had a look at ours (also a 28i) and if it was the CH system pressure you are after, ours is set at 1.5 bar. Thats where the marker has been set by the heating engineer. RE: Any gas heating engineers? - r3k1355 - 07-01-2016 Isn't it normally only the CH pressure that the lay-man can check though? On most boilers I've had it's the only pressure gauge you can see. I don't know if there's any other gauge inside the boiler, don't you have to be gas registered to even remove the cover from the boiler? No! you have to be gas registered to break the gas line ![]() in your own private house you can do as you wish but it might bite you in the ass if your not compitant enough to deal with it RE: Any gas heating engineers? - Toms306 - 07-01-2016 You can't even wire in an oven yourself these days, yet they let you mess with gas boilers? ![]() RE: Any gas heating engineers? - Niall - 07-01-2016 (07-01-2016, 11:42 AM)cully Wrote:(07-01-2016, 09:28 AM)r3k1355 Wrote: don't you have to be gas registered to even remove the cover from the boiler? Pretty sure thats not correct as i had this conversation with someone before. Even if you remove the cover just for a look then theres a gas leak and someone in your house dies because of it, you can be held accountable. Thats how i understood it anyway (07-01-2016, 11:44 AM)Toms306 Wrote: You can't even wire in an oven yourself these days, yet they let you mess with gas boilers? You Can. If its your house you can practically do what ever you want however you're insurance may not cover you and if anything happened you may be accountable. Also some say you will have trouble when it comes to selling but in reality these days you mostly wont as most buyers have a EICR done before committing to buy which would highlight any issues. RE: Any gas heating engineers? - r3k1355 - 07-01-2016 You usually get indemnity insurance to cover any dodgy shit that the previous owner has decided to do. |
