A new random noise?! Injector Leak? - td163 - 15-12-2015
Hi all,
Starting the car from work tonight (cold engine) I was greeted by the below noise coming from the engine......it sounds like its coming from the cam cover/injector area passenger side.
Has anyone gotten any ideas? maybe injector seal gone?
Ignore the black gunk round the 4th injector that's my fault but there is some staining around that area. Cant feel anything coming from the injectors myself.

The chuffing noise is a leaking injector seal.

Cheers bud! I have ordered a new set....suprised there are no adverse affects like loss of power etc.

You'll need to give the injector seats a light cut to make sure you get a good seal with the new copper washers.
