Ph1 VNT 306 Estate £800 - clarkey2010 - 01-12-2015
right i am parting ways with this as i now need to get something more mature and luxurious
few people might know the car and its spec but i will try and list everything below.
165k on the clock
MOT till 11th jan 2016
Engine:
Arp head studs
gearbox mounted gta2260v turbo
11mm bosch
10mm fuel lines front to back
Large fuel filter set
Custom inlet manifold (ash23)
Large front mount intercooler
HDI Gearbox (resealed by previous owner when fitted)
CG paddle clutch
Upper and lower strut braces
2.5 inch stainless exhaust system
Powerflex rear engine mount (ideally needs changing back to a stock mount in my opinion as the vibration through the cab is horrible)
Suspension/brakes/wheels:
GTi6 calipers
23mm MC
Koni adjustable front shocks and springs
Gaz gold adjustable rear shocks
16" Nimrods (would benefit a refurb)
Interior:
Full leather and heated Mazda RX8 front seats (Electrics for changing the seat position works but never got round to seeing why the heated part stopped working)
Battery relocation to the boot
What has changed in my ownership:
- The stainless tubular manifold was scrapped as it was beyond repair (see the project thread)
- Brand new Bosch Glow plugs fitted and leak offs fitted
- 2 new genuine door switches (interior light now comes on)
- Mist jets fitted
- 2 new Continental sport contact 3 tyres on the front fitted on 22/10/15 and covered less then 1000 miles
- removed the tweeters that were located on the wing mirror interior trim as i preferred the manual adjustment on the mirrors. (not quite finished as i was going fit some fully electric mirrors instead)
The not so good bits.
- The body work lets it down alot, granted its a R reg car with 160k miles on it so some of the blemishes are to be expected. to make it look better and more show worthy it would benefit from another Ph1 bumper, fresh hockey sticks and maybe a bonnet in my opinion. but for me it was a daily driver so i wasn't overall bothered on it appearance when i purchased it.
- Gauges. some work some dont see below.
Racetech Oil pressure gauge - not connected - untested
Unbranded EGT Gauge - not connected - untested
Manifold pressure gauge - works
Boost gauge (above coin tray) - fitted and working
- Sunroof leaks, someone at some point has attempted to seal it up to stop the leak and looks terrible but can only been seen when the sunroof is fully open. but i suspect the leak isnt from the above but the drainage pipe on the drivers side is at fault. **Edit cleaned out the drain holes and it might of fixed this problem**
-Wiper stalk works but on the second speed it needs a wiggle to work but all he others work fine
i am after £800 for a quick sale
car is located in the Stoke on trent (5 mins from JN16 of the M6)
