EVRY Mod BMW 325 TDS E36 - silverzx - 01-12-2015

Bit random to be putting it on here but meh!

Anyone know of a decent guide in English preferably with some picture aids?

That means waiting for a postman.

I want it tonight.

I want it on a switch, adjustable with a pot for more/less smoke.

follow the instructions on the guide then if you want coal get an XUD Tongue

But that's for a Jetta with different pin outs on the pump?

I don't want an XUD, already have one sat in a 205 doing F-All.

I doubt the pump will have a different pinout - but you'd need to check.

Unless you have some modicum of understanding the modification, I wouldn't attempt it on a car that may have a different pinout.

Don't be silly, he'd still be in a stock punto if he followed that sort of crazy logic.

Better to drop Enda Ward at EndTuning a shout, he does chips for the TDS, ten min install and no wiring butchery.

resistor mod is an utter bodge.

go to maplin and buy a variable resistor aka potentiometer with a value close to the maximum resistance shown in the thread

RE: EVRY Mod BMW 325 TDS E36 - Harky - 04-12-2015

This thread comes about a week after I tried to do mine on my tds.

I already have an end tuning chip, but wanted more fuel to go with the manual boost controller. I got a pin diagram handy enough, and tapped in to the wire we thought it should be. Long story short, it was the wrong one and does nothing! I'll see if I can find the diagram and remember which one I tapped in to - you can try the next one!

you need pump mods if you want more fuel

RE: EVRY Mod BMW 325 TDS E36 - cully - 05-12-2015

just came back to look at this again
i think it may work roughly
as it changes the duty cycle of the Fuel quantity valve (Y159) within the pump!

RE: EVRY Mod BMW 325 TDS E36 - stevieg - 06-12-2015

from my memory its to do with the fuel quantity adjuster feedback sensor (B177) which is basically just a potentiometer making the pump control module think the quantity adjuster hasn't moved as much thus commanding it to move more and as a result adding more fuel which equals more boost when the wastegate allows it. When you look at it its all very crude and simple

RE: EVRY Mod BMW 325 TDS E36 - silverzx - 07-12-2015

Just gonna leave it until the epic pump is done.

What kind of a pump are you putting on it anyway, fully mechanical one just?

There's a fella in Ireland here had one for drifting, as far as I'm aware all he did to the pump was electrical/custom mapping and he was fit to get plenty of fuel for running a big vnt. It's a good detailed thread, if you search tds smoke machine you should find it on some of the bmw forums!

just get the chip.

RE: EVRY Mod BMW 325 TDS E36 - Adrii159 - 13-06-2017

I want to connect evry mod, in my 325 tds, connect to the Y159 or the B177? Pins 2 and 3, right?
and potentiometer of 1k or 2k? Thank you very much!!

RE: EVRY Mod BMW 325 TDS E36 - welshpug - 13-06-2017

no idea, I just bought the chip and fitted it, very easy.

And tell us to see that you go with a chip, is similar to a remap, I had it thought for later ... thanks!

RE: EVRY Mod BMW 325 TDS E36 - welshpug - 13-06-2017

yes, its the same as a remap but for older ecu's where you cannot reflash via obd, you physically open the case and change the chip.

That is, I understand that in these ECU does not need to weld as in some tdi ... is that true? Thank you!

RE: EVRY Mod BMW 325 TDS E36 - welshpug - 13-06-2017

it depends which version, check the part number and Email enda.
