memory saver - Magenta Sunset - 13-11-2015 dunno if this has been covered before; to save the radio/clock settings all you need is a 9v (PP3) battery, 2 wires (1 red, 1 black) & 2 croc clips. then before disconnecting car battery, clip on the 9v (just like jump leads) to the main battery leads and you're ready to rock. RE: memory saver - DeeTurbo - 14-11-2015 Don't you need a diode to stop the car power trying to charge the pp3 battery? RE: memory saver - Magenta Sunset - 14-11-2015 possibly. if anyone can add to this - - found this on youtube; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5rwnMuZVbk RE: memory saver - tigerstyle - 15-11-2015 Newer radios store settings now, and luckily adjusting the clock is fairly quick, but good info to have! |
