why?

Re: Black and white Borbet A's....ending soon - Scott - 06-05-2012

With 16s which have 205 wide tyres, they need to be 45 profiles, so 205/50/16 will be too large, as will 225/45/16. The two sets will actually have a completely different rolling radius which will mean that the 225/45/16s will be bigger which will also look weird.

A friend was running her gti6 on 50profile 16s she didnt have any problems, she was lowered 30mm on eibach's

But were they 205 wide or 195s? 195/50/16 is fine Smile

Pass...

I have no idea she has sold the wheels now.

Just found the for sale thread they were 195's

Ah yeah Smile That's the correct size to keep the same circumference as standard tyres Wink

By the way those wheels are PORN. Love MO5s

What you ACTUALLY need is 194/40 16, regardless of width. ninja

40 profiles cause a dodgy back. Fact. When I had them constantly banging around. 45 profile I nicer lol

all the more reason to get some super duper stretch on em.

Re: Black and white Borbet A's....ending soon - Scott - 07-05-2012

To be fair there's actually a small amount of stretch with 205/45/16s on a 7j alloy...looks pretty smart IMO Smile

195/45/16 Is ideal, it's what I had on my sp's they were on 205/50/16 when I got em and they rubbed when giving it proper beans down the private lanes
