Diesel/Sunflower oil science - lolsteve - 24-09-2015 Been reading a book on combustion engines and came across this. Might make an interesting read for you derv guys RE: Diesel/Sunflower oil science - r3k1355 - 24-09-2015 Pretty much sums up what is known, the oil is thicker than Diesel so needs manly pumps and injectors, it has a longer burn time so adjusting the pump timing is useful and it's got slightly less energy in - so expect a 10% or so power loss running it. I always added cetane booster and 2-stroke oil into my mix, ran like a champ. |
