Don't work weekends, may as well make the most of it. Camping open from 3pm. Will setup, get the chairs and beers out then chill

Pugfest convoy from London - ArmzSC6 - 07-07-2015

Not sure what time were leaving yet. Probably meet up with Aaron and Rich Woodstock on the way so be 3 gti-6's 2 of them supercharged lol

But depends when we can drop the sprog off at her grandparents place as to when we can leave.

RE: Pugfest convoy from London - Niall - 08-07-2015

You got my number Pete? Think Aaron has. Let me know and we can meet you guys if it's not going to be too late. Want to get there for 3-4ish to get more beer time in Big Grin

RE: Pugfest convoy from London - Dum-Dum - 08-07-2015

Sorry when I said Reading I meant Oxford Services but Pear Tree is the better option I suppose

12:30 is far too early, only about an hours drive from there and the gates don't open till 3pm. Pear Tree for 2-3pm is probably the better idea.

RE: Pugfest convoy from London - Anton - 08-07-2015

Pear Tree is 10 minutes from me, i'd be happy to meet you lot Smile

RE: Pugfest convoy from London - Niall - 08-07-2015

Well looking more and more like i won't be in the 306 but regardless, i will be there!

RE: Pugfest convoy from London - 7057sam - 08-07-2015

Going piss it down all day away Sad Sad Sad

Pugfest convoy from London - ArmzSC6 - 09-07-2015

Why not in the 306 it's only wobbly brakes!

RE: Pugfest convoy from London - Ruan - 09-07-2015

If anyone's interested, rather than going the shitty A40 way, I know the way across country, which will take us through Stow-on-the-wold, Chipping Norton etc - it's more than worth it - absolutely stunning scenery and some cracking sections of road.

A40 is single carriagway with no overtaking spots and every bellend and his dog out for a weekend drive in their Vauxhall Merivas. I had the misfortune of commuting on it for 6 months - awful road!

This is the route I'd take:

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/Holiday+Inn+Peartree+Roundabout,+Woodstock+Road,+Oxford/Prescott+Hill,+Gotherington/@51.9306727,-1.5744824,10.68z/data=!4m19!4m18!1m10!1m1!1s0x4876c45a9c276fad:0x674ae692ae8a5d94!2m2!1d-1.2841574!2d51.7941217!3m4!1m2!1d-1.2246454!2d51.9039141!3s0x4876dc42dfd73fa7:0xe7db3fca670b095d!1m5!1m1!1s0x48711e61fff79dbf:0xd44304cee01df773!2m2!1d-2.025379!2d51.9618543!3e0

If you want to meet at Peartree roundabout, then we'd head up to Bicester, then start our route from there on the B4030.

RE: Pugfest convoy from London - Dum-Dum - 10-07-2015

I'd love to come the fun way past piggys but I need to play the fuel economy game so I'll be going A40

RE: Pugfest convoy from London - Silky - 10-07-2015

If anyone is in the area about 12.30-1pm then please let me know and I can send you my number to meet

RE: Pugfest convoy from London - Dum-Dum - 10-07-2015

I won't be meeting an hour or more early mate, got things to do in the morning rather than be sitting around waiting for them to open the gates.

RE: Pugfest convoy from London - Silky - 10-07-2015

I'm going to get close by and have a nice Cotswolds Pub Lunch

Sounds good too me takes me 2 hours 26 mins so if I leave lf 12/1 should be they on time.

RE: Pugfest convoy from London - Dum-Dum - 11-07-2015

Right I'm not sure if I'm gonna make a convoy point, gotta do some bits to the car and haven't even considered packing anything yet.

RE: Pugfest convoy from London - bigcheez2k3 - 11-07-2015

Hoping to be at Pear Tree between 2.30-3.
