RE: 306 HDI Performance Exhaust - toseland - 01-07-2015 MOT Stipulates it must have a backbox on.. most MOT stations dont worry too much so long as A. the cat is in place B. its not retardedly loud. RE: 306 HDI Performance Exhaust - MY95 - 02-07-2015 Not much Jonny As little as possible, just need a straight through backbox really. Since the midbox is pretty much straight through anyway. RE: 306 HDI Performance Exhaust - Iceman299 - 02-07-2015 Is it possible to just cut the backbox off and weld a pipe in it's place? Contemplated this for my own car RE: 306 HDI Performance Exhaust - MY95 - 02-07-2015 (02-07-2015, 02:09 PM)Iceman299 Wrote: Is it possible to just cut the backbox off and weld a pipe in it's place? I was under the impression it needs A box rather than a backbox.. So in theory as long as the car is in place & it has a box somewhere in the system, you're fine. Contemplated this for my own car It will pass, it just sounds like you need to find another tester TBH RE: 306 HDI Performance Exhaust - MY95 - 02-07-2015 Thanks for the info lads, the car has been with the current MOT testers for 6 years now and they are a good set of lads so staying with them Jonny just need to find a straight through backbox so it will defo go through without any issues RE: 306 HDI Performance Exhaust - MY95 - 02-07-2015 Says here on page 157 that only a cat is needed, although says something about asilencer. thought at least one box was needed too https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/429032/mot-inspection-manual-classes-3-4-5-7-vehicles.pdf RE: 306 HDI Performance Exhaust - MY95 - 02-07-2015 Anyone got a cat back for sale? RE: 306 HDI Performance Exhaust - Iceman299 - 02-07-2015 What happened to your mate giving you his old straight through exhaust? (The only related search topic is your own at the bottom of the page lol) RE: 306 HDI Performance Exhaust - MY95 - 02-07-2015 Didnt even see that haha! That idea fell through unfortunately |
