Alee83's Cherry Red Rallye - Alee83 - 26-04-2012

Well as I have done a project thread on 306.net I will do one on here as most of you guys know me!

I got my T reg 99 Cherry red Rallye last month. I used to own a Astor 6, but grew out of her and had a Vectra SRi for a bit, but have now returned to the 306.

This car has done a lot of milage, but has had a lot spent! If I could take a photo of every reciept to show you I would. Just as a quick guide to the sort of money, There is new brake calipers alround, freshly painted alloys. 4 new Avon tires, a engine re-build and new gearbox. Another reciept is for the interior, as it has been re-upholstered, that was £600 alone! Big Grin

Right, here was my old car...

Here is the Rallye the day I got her and some the day after, when I had given her a wash!! Big Grin

Then I decided straight away, as you do, on most of the things I wanted for her.
First was Aero wipers, clear side repeaters and Crystals.

Then I ordered some new decals as the ones on the doors were a little scratty and I needed a new one for the bonnet as I need to get it replaced (new one coming Sunday) due to micro blisters all over the paintwork! I also got some spares to do little rallye esk stuff with... Idea

I then polished and waxed the whole car!!

I still had my Sub and Amp from the last car and had an Alpine unit already fitted with ipod connection! So I ordered a Vibe flat 8amg cable set and wired in the sub. I also got some Alpine Type R components for the rear shelf, this didn't go as planned as the speakers were huge, so had to butcher a phase 2 shelf I had lying around for some supports! Smile

I ordered some HID's from China off the Bay (5000k H7R's, DIGITAL)

The car never came with a battery cover so thanks to Karl1989 on .net I now have a metal one which I have painted, while doing so I painted some eyebrows for the crystals for a meaner look!

Then from a lovely guy on here I got a new rear badge, the resin type!! Looks mint... IMO Big Grin

And that's it for now, bang up to date!

I pick up my new bonnet on Sunday morning and Hopefully pick up another inlet fannymould for £22 off ebay tomorrow, which I hope to get powder coated red very soon!

Comments welcome as always guys!! Big Grin

Re: Alee83's Cherry Red Rallye - Atterz - 26-04-2012

Not a fan of the thing on the windscreen, but other than that it looks like a really nice example!

Re: Alee83's Cherry Red Rallye - Ed Doe - 26-04-2012

did you buy that from Pugplus at the top of a hill in Wales??? That looks uncannily like the view from the top of the common in front of his place...

A view I know well, on account of waiting most of the day for him to put the interior and front end back onto a car I drove from portsmouth to his to buy...

Re: Alee83's Cherry Red Rallye - devils_fuel - 26-04-2012

Re: Alee83's Cherry Red Rallye - Alee83 - 30-04-2012

Small update....

Fitted the bonnet I got from jamiemufc93 on the .net forum, it's a smoother finish than the brail bonnet I had on origionally, but it is faded more and a slight shade out!

Not sure what I'm gonna do about it yet, but I will figure it out! Also not sure which bonnet to have on for FCS!!

Anyway, pics...

Colour difference doesn't look massive on the photo...

Also, fitted my battery cover now, I think it looks ok! Smile

Just got to get some xsara washer jets and also sort out my other inlet fanny mould for powder coating!!

Re: Alee83's Cherry Red Rallye - Alee83 - 07-05-2012

Small update today...

Been finding it difficult to get going with my shoulder hurting!

As the sun was out this morning I got up early and started painting my brake calipers!!
I went for yellow as it is my "accent" colour of choice!

Doesn't look too bad!

Also, fitted some led reversing bulbs! They look a little bluey in the photo but they're not up close! They are very bright CREE 5 led's, super super bright! It only has 1 smd in it!

Drivers side is LED (just in case you couldn't tell! Wink

Comments always welcome! Smile

Re: Alee83's Cherry Red Rallye - Dum-Dum - 07-05-2012

Looks like a nice motor mate and I like the bits you've done to it except the boot badge which looks odd imo!

How many miles has it done?
